It is easy to donate stocks to International Partners in Mission. Most brokers are able to quickly and easily transfer your stock gift electronically to IPM. There may be tax advantages for giving appreciated stock versus cash. Please check with your tax advisor, tax attorney or financial planner to find out more about tax implications of making a gift of stock.

You will need to contact their broker stating you want to make gift of (XXX) number of shares of (XXXXX) stock(s) to International Partners in Mission.

You or your broker should contact IPM directly at 216.932.4082 for DTC information and instructions. Please note that it is very important to inform IPM when you plan to make a gift of stock. Stock donations made electronically do not show the donor or the purpose for which the gift is intended.

Please be aware that value of a stock gift is related to the value of the stock on the date of the gift. For example, if the shares electronically transferred, it's the date of the actual transfer and not the date the donor told their broker to transfer the gift. If you are considering a gift at the end of the year, please leave enough time for the transaction to occur.
