Known for its tourism, explore breathtaking Kenya with a truly unique lens. On this 10 day journey, IPM Staff from Cleveland and Nairobi will not only take you on a traditional safari, but you will also get to know numerous IPM Project Partners who work to address HIV/AIDS, girl child education, and women’s empowerment all over Kenya.
Sample activities include:
• Visit the Bride Rescue Project and hear personal testimonies from the students, many of whom were forced into marriage as young as 8-12 years old
• Drive across the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the world-renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve
• Travel to Unyolo Village for day-long site visit with Unyolo Village Improvement Project
• Visit Shikokho Secondary School, Shikokho Primary School, and a clinic run by Shikokho women’s group
• Visit Kakamega Forest and Reserve
• Visit DEEDNET, AIDS orphanage with Ms. Rufina Simiyu, Nairobi Provincial Governent and IPM Board Member
