Manipur School Building Project

Project Overview:
Manipur School Building Project (Manipur, INDIA) is a donor driven project which supports the building a school in Khukthar, Manipur which serves children ages 3-18.  In addition, the project hopes to fund a training program, provide health care, and teach environmental issues to villagers.

Recent Accomplishments:

Seven classrooms and one office building were completed

Three children passed their final examinations with honors

Offered prenatal care for two villages

Number of People Directly Served by Project:

Under the children's program, 20 children are provided with food, education, clothing, and medical care

Free medical checkup was offered to 50 students

Number of People Indirectly Served by Project:
100 members of the local community

Goals for 2008:
To expand the project and continue to fund the education of students

IPM Funding Goal for 2008:
$10,000.00

Community Impact:
Mrs. Thakim is very thankful to God as her children could participate in all the programs conducted by the project. She said, “Day by day I see my children grow physically, intellectually and spiritually stronger.”
