Earthquake Relief Project
Project Overview:
Earthquake Relief Project (Yogyakarta, INDONESIA) is working to rebuild Kanisius Baciro Elemntary School and Pangudi Luhur Secondary School in Indonesia. Both of these schools were destroyed by an earthquake that struck the country on May 27, 2006, which killed 6,000 people and displaced 200,000 people. Before the earthquake, these schools served a total of 2,748 students. A donor in the U.S. is working to raise $200,000 to completely rebuild the schools, and provide supplies (desks, books, etc.) for the students.
