Joe Cistone to speak on Refugee Crisis

Informed by Joe’s work on behalf of refugees, forced migrants, and internally displaced persons, he will speak to the multi-faith mandate to Welcome the Stranger in the context of the recently revised Executive Order. Joe will also provide an overview of the current refugee reality in Maine and offer concrete action steps to help make MDI a more welcoming community.
Joe will be speaking on the Refugee Crisis with a focus on the multi-faith mandate to Welcome the Stranger in the context of the recently revised Executive Order.  He will provide an overview of the current refugee reality in Maine and offer concrete action steps to help make MDI a more welcoming community.  This is informed by his work on behalf of and with refugees, forced migrants, and internally displaced persons for more than three decades.
